An Buckinx has a Master degree in Biomedical Neuroscience from the University of Antwerp in 2016. After her studies, she joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Drug Analysis and Drug Information (VUB), where she obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. In 2021, she joined the microglia biology lab at the University of Lausanne as a postdoctoral researcher.
She founded Buckinx Science Communication, a consulting agency focused on science communication. An has now joined the International Cancer Prevention Institute as a scientific communication expert.
