Jovan Isma

Jovan Isma graduated in medicine in 2020 at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Before starting his PhD in the laboratory of skin aging and cancer prevention under the supervision of Professor Gian-Paolo Dotto, he gained research experience in cancer biology at the University of Belgrade and at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Mainz, Germany. His current research focuses on the impact of hormonal receptor signaling in the tumor microenvironment, particularly in cancer-associated fibroblasts, with the aim to shed light on the underlying sexual differences in the cancer stroma.
