Program Highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The incidence and prevalence of many cancer types are substantially increasing worldwide for three main reasons: (i) increased life span and aging populations, (ii) improved methods of early detection, and (iii) increased survival of cancer patients. Changes in known and unknown environmental factors modify the incidences of cancers.<\/p>\n\n\n

The present consortium is designed to set a highly collaborative and integrated research network on primary and secondary prevention of skin, breast, oral, lung and pancreatic cancer,within the framework of human population studies, biomarkers identification, drug testing and large data set analysis.
The contribution of socioeconomic differences to cancer risks, as well as adversary conditions such as addictions and mental health disorders, which often underlie smoking and excess alcohol use,will be brought to the attention of all researchers and the interacting general public through workshops and invited formal lectures throughout the year and at the annual in-person meeting of all program participants.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
