François Kuonen, MD, PhD

François Kuonen received his MD in 2006 and his PhD degree in cancer biology in 2010 from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He completed his medical training as a dermatologist and dermatosurgeon at the Lausanne University Hospital. After 2 years as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University (Palo Alto, US) by Prof Anthony Oro, he came back in 2019 to the Department of Dermatology at Lausanne University Hospital as the head of the dermatosurgery unit. With the support of the Swiss National foundation, he is leading a research activity aiming at deciphering how transcriptional plasticity regulates resistance in skin cancers.
